Why AI in Board Retention?
The goal is not to automate academic decisions, but to reduce the teacher's cognitive load and let them focus on what really matters: their relationship with students.
The baseline problem
Board Retention already solves Moodle data fragmentation: it brings together KPIs, risk, feedback and reports in a single panel. But the teacher still has to interpret all that information to decide how to act.
Where AI comes in
AI can help synthesize, prioritize and communicate. Transform indicators into readable summaries, explain why a student is at risk, suggest who to contact first, and generate message drafts so the teacher only needs to review and send.
With clear boundaries
AI does not decide, grade, or intervene without supervision. Everything it generates is reviewable, configurable and under the teaching team's control. The academic decision remains human.
